Hearthbound, a New Queer Audio Drama, Launches Kickstarter

Brooklyn, NY - 12/13/22 – The Kickstarter campaign for Hearthbound: An Untelling of the Odyssey goes live today. The Kickstarter campaign closes on January 11 and aims to raise $10,000 to cover production costs. Rewards for pledging include sticker packs, an embroidered beanie, and sneak peaks behind the scenes of the creative and production process.

Hearthbound is a queer musical audio drama podcast set in a post-apocalyptic Great Basin. It features familiar characters like Calypso, Circe, and Helen in new guises and includes an original indie folk soundtrack. Hearthbound is directed by Jack Calk (Static Man in Archive 81), written by Jo Chiang (The Other Violet in The Strange Case of Starship Iris), music directed by Ginger Dolden (Jimmy Kimmel Live!), and sound designed by Anna Kelly Rodriguez (Unwell).

“I think Hearthbound is a beautiful, timely story, epic and intimate with many keen insights into love, community, solitude, and starting again,” said Jack Calk.“It's also got killer music, and the artists are great people too. You coming our way?"
